I’ve owned about 15 Cars and my experience at Sunset Ford with Joe and Kyle was among the most transparent and honest I’ve experienced at a dealership. Joe was a top tier sales person and always had any car we wanted to drive out and ready for us, usually before we even arrived at the dealership. My Wife and I went through several different car options and had a good number of visits before finally making a purchase and despite the lengthy process we were always treated well!

Buyer Beware: A Cautionary Tale!
Buyer Beware: A Cautionary Tale! 🚗 I wanted to share my recent negative experience with Waterloo Sunset Ford to help others avoid the same frustration and deceptive sales practices. I purchased a new car from them at the end of last year, and when I was uncertain about going through with the purchase, the manager ‘sweetened the deal’ with a promise of free car washes for as long as I owned the vehicle. I didn’t get this agreement in writing because I mistakenly thought they were a trustworthy dealership. I didn’t take advantage of this offer until recently, when I went in to get a code for the car wash as directed at the time of purchase. To my surprise, they informed me that the policy had changed, and they would no longer provide that service. This was part of the deal when I bought the car, so changing it now feels unfair and fraudulent. The manager acknowledged that he had promised the car washes but said he couldn’t do anything because the decision came from his boss. I reached out to his boss as well, and he wouldn’t honor it either. While it may seem insignificant to argue over some car washes, it’s really about principles. I’m not asking for anything more or anything different than what was originally promised; I just want the dealership to keep its word. I hope saving a couple of dollars on car washes was worth tarnishing their reputation and losing a loyal Ford buyer. After posting about this incident on social media, I received at least two dozen comments or messages from people who reported that the same thing had happened to them at this dealership over the last five or six years. This is not an isolated event. They have been practicing this scam for several years now!

This buying experience was really great. I came in a stressful situation when after 2 years, Ford couldn’t solve my battery issue despite many attempts. I tried to get Ford to buy back and when they declined, Adrian and Sunset stepped in. While they weren’t able to fully buy my 2024 Maverick back. They made me a very good offer on my truck and gave me a very good price on my new Maverick. Adriian, Kyle and the entire Sunset Waterloo team treated me right which I will always give them first shot on my next purchase. Adrian is very professional and knowledgeable and has done a great job throughout, including after purchasing calls to check in. I appreciate this team!
